  • The Chicago Community Trust

    For more than 94 years, The Chicago Community Trust has worked hand in hand with thousands of local residents who see how good Chicago can be and who want to be part of a promising future. The Trust is dedicated to this region and to endowing its future. Together with its donors, the Trust continues to address our region’s pressing challenges and most promising opportunities. The Trust provides critical charitable resources in the arts, community and economic development, education, health and wellness, hunger and homeless alleviation, legal services; programs for youth, the elderly, and people with disabilities; and services to assure that basic human needs are met for all members of our community.

  • Inner-City Muslim Action Network (IMAN)

    IMAN is a community-based nonprofit that works for social justice, delivers a range of direct services, and cultivates the arts in urban communities. IMAN seeks to foster a dynamic and vibrant space for Muslims in Urban America by inspiring the larger community towards critical civic engagement exemplifying prophetic compassion in the work for social justice and human dignity beyond the barriers of religion, ethnicity, and nationality. IMAN’s services, organizing and arts agenda stem from our spiritual convictions about community service, human compassion, and social justice, particularly for marginalized people of color. IMAN categorizes all of its work to serve and empower disadvantaged individuals and communities within three broad areas: Direct Services, Organizing & Social Justice, and Arts & Culture.

  • Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC)

    Around the globe, religiously diverse young people are interacting more than ever. Interfaith Youth Core works on college & university campuses to make sure that this interaction leads to positive, cooperative relationships in local communities. IFYC builds mutual respect and pluralism among young people from different religious traditions by empowering them to work together to serve others.

    Formed in 1999, Link Media owns and operates the broadcast channel Link TV and www.linktv.org. Link is the first nationwide television channel and website dedicated to providing global perspectives on news, events and culture. Link’s programs provide a unique perspective on international news, current events, and diverse cultures, presenting issues not often covered in the U.S. media. We connect viewers with people at the heart of breaking events, organizations in the forefront of social change and the cultures of an increasingly global community.

    One Nation, a philanthropic collaborative, has partnered with The Chicago Community Trust, Link TV, Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC) and Inner-City Muslim Action Network (IMAN) to develop in Chicago a nationally replicable civic engagement initiative that brings together diverse local communities to work with common purpose for the common good to uphold America’s promise of liberty and justice for all.
