Film Contest
One Chicago, One Nation’s film contest, hosted by Link TV, is open to individuals throughout the country to share stories, based in or about Chicago, that demonstrate the social benefit of diverse individuals and communities working together.

Film submission deadline extended: Friday, April 30, 2010 – 11:59PM (PST)
Film categories include:
- Comedy
- Drama
- Documentary
- Under 60 seconds
- Music video/spoken word/animation
- Mobile digital media (phones, mp3s/iPods, Flip cameras).
Winners are publicly announced at a ceremony in Chicago’s Millennium Park on Thursday, June 17, 2010.
The grand prize winner receives $20,000 and each category winner receives $5,000.
To inspire community dialogue, winning films are televised on Link TV (except mobile digital media) and online at www.linktv.org/onechicago and are used to spark discussion in community conversations and potential solutions for community issues and to connect strong local initiatives with larger audiences in civic, business, and government institutions.

Community Conversations & Leadership Development
Community Ambassadors
Community Ambassadors trained in interfaith and intercultural dialogue, listening, and filmmaking skills connect neighbors to build awareness of shared values and encourage community collaboration.
Using contest-winning films to inspire dialogue, Community Ambassadors lead community conversations to create greater awareness of ongoing projects and potential solutions for community issues and to connect strong local initiatives with larger audiences in civic, business, and government institutions.

Community Solution Grants
Community Solution Grants encourage cross-community collaboration and action to address issues of mutual concern and build trust among diverse groups.
A total of 20 grants of $10,000 each are allocated to stimulate social action across diverse communities. Each grant is sponsored by two organizations to ensure interfaith and intercultural engagement.
